We’ve Moved: Design Tonic’s New Home at Rose Wharf, Leeds

BACK TO ALL ARTICLES

We’re thrilled to officially announce our relocation to Rose Wharf - a beautifully reimagined Grade II listed former mill on the banks of the River Aire in Leeds.

This move represents more than just a new address for Design Tonic, it marks the next exciting chapter in our story as a growing, ambitious Design and build company.. Having started life in Wetherby in 2019 and expanded into Scarcroft two years later, we’re now proud to establish our first city-centre base, right in the heart of Leeds.

“Moving into the heart of Leeds is a huge step for us. The city’s creative energy, connectivity and culture perfectly align with the kind of work we love to do, and Rose Wharf immediately felt like home.”

— Amanda Cook, Founder & Director, Design Tonic

Why Rose Wharf?

From the moment we stepped into Rose Wharf, we knew it was the right space for us. The building’s industrial heritage, its riverside setting, and its connection to the creative and commercial pulse of Leeds made an instant impression.

This isn’t just any office space, it’s one we helped bring back to life.

As the design and build partner for the £2.2 million refurbishment of Rose Wharf, we’ve been involved in this transformation for the last 2 years, Working for Caddick Developments, our team has shaped a best-in-class workplace destination that blends historic character with contemporary flexibility, sustainability, and style.

“We’ve loved every second of working on Rose Wharf’s transformation, so taking up residence here ourselves just felt right. We’ve poured so much creation  into this space, and it’s inspiring to now call it ours.”

A Space Designed with Purpose

We’ve taken 2,500 sq.ft of newly refurbished space at Rose Wharf - tailored to support collaboration, creativity, and wellbeing.

Here are some of the highlights we’re especially proud of:

  • Striking river views that inspire calm and focus.
  • Open-plan workspaces that support our growing team.
  • Thoughtfully restored architectural features that pay homage to the building’s rich history.
  • Flexible meeting zones and social spaces that foster creativity and connection.
  • A ground floor amenity space with a Rabbit hole coffee shop

Our team designed this space with the same care and attention we give to every client project, making it a living case study in how design can shape better ways of working.

“We wanted to create a space that truly reflects who we are as a company; bright, flexible, connected to its environment, and unapologetically creative. Every design choice was made with purpose, for our team and our future.”

A New Chapter for Growth and Opportunity

Being based at the gateway to the Leeds Climate Innovation District and near Leeds Dock, we’re surrounded by forward-thinking businesses, exciting developments, and a vibrant creative community. It’s the perfect place to continue growing our client base, building new partnerships, and attracting top design talent.

In just a short time, the impact has already been tangible - energised teams, closer proximity to clients, and a renewed buzz across the business. This move is more than symbolic; it’s strategic.

So, What’s Ahead for Design Tonic?

Rose Wharf isn’t just our new office; it’s a statement about where Design Tonic is headed. We’re immensely proud of the work we’ve done here, both for the building and for ourselves, and we’re excited to welcome our clients, partners, and collaborators into the space.
