Today’s stadium sponsorships go far beyond shirt placements and perimeter boards alone, living too in the journey of each guest and the way a sponsor suite quietly elevates both the brand and the experience.
From global athletics giants to emerging premium partners, a club’s most influential sponsors are looking for something with real experiential value, on-brand immersion and year-round engagement; through interiors that reflect their identity and feel as considered as a flagship retail store or luxury hospitality venue.
In response, many clubs are now asking new questions: “What does a modern sponsor space need to deliver?”, “how do we create environments that feel genuinely premium?” and “how can our stadium interiors help us attract - and retain - the world’s biggest partners?”
The good news is that the answer is simpler than many think: it comes down to the intelligence of the design itself.
Thoughtful stadium redesign is a strategic tool with the power to increase partner satisfaction, improve sponsorship retention and help clubs attract bigger, higher-value deals.
And these sponsor spaces and premium hospitality and experiential zones are real assets, places where you can bring style, brand and matchday experience together to create measurable commercial impact for your club.

Why Great Design matters more than ever to Club Sponsorship Deals
Modern sponsor suites and lounges are sophisticated environments that tell a story about your partnership; one based on shared values and ambition between club and brand.
When these spaces are designed with intention, every element - from luxurious materials and thoughtful layouts to premium levels of comfort - become part of that story, presenting their brand in a way that feels effortless.
Sponsorship teams within clubs are often under pressure to prove value, but for your sponsors?
Great design is an immediate showcase of how your relationship can deliver visibility and impact as well as hospitality value and differentiation.
When your partner suites, lounges and experiential zones feel thoughtfully executed and undeniably premium, sponsors can see their investment in every detail - and it also demonstrates your club’s professionalism and commitment to the partnership without a word.
And for clubs themselves, great design has its own ROI too; strengthening renewals, elevating guest experience and positioning your stadium as a place where the best brands belong.

The Commercial Power of Intelligent Sponsor Spaces
If great design can establish the tone of a partnership, it’s the way that it functions that delivers its impact.
The most effective sponsor environments are the ones where comfort, style and strategic thinking turn your spaces into high-performing commercial assets rather than passive hospitality rooms - places your partners can use to increase their visibility, support their activations and drive measurable ROI.
And if that weren’t enough…
Sponsor-branded spaces extend your partnership beyond the pitch
From bespoke finishes and subtly integrated branding to layouts that support hosting, networking and content creation, well-designed sponsor spaces mean your partners can make use of these assets in ways that traditional environments just can’t support - offering immersive storytelling where brand, club and guest experience come together.
After all, a partner investment is really in the touchpoints - the places where fans, clients, players and media interact with their brand.
Stadium interiors offer the richest opportunities for this. From exclusive lounges and private boxes to arrival areas, tunnel clubs and branded experiential zones, these environments allow sponsors to:
- Tell their brand story with authenticity
- Create high-value moments for VIP guests
- Host activations and campaigns
- And embed themselves into the wider matchday experience

Global brands expect premium environments
For clubs looking to attract leading sponsors, this is key. Today’s premium brands are benchmarking their stadium experiences not just against other stadiums, but against other experiences, from luxury hospitality to high-end entertainment and retail venues.
This is a shift that’s raised the bar considerably on what a sponsor suite, lounge or zone needs to deliver:
- It needs to feel modern and intentional.
- It needs to be immersively on-brand.
- It needs to support flexible events hosting and/or year-round use.
- It needs to be memorable for VIP guests.
- And it needs to communicate the value of the partnership the moment they enter the room.
And crafting spaces that hit this balance of beauty, brand expression and commercial performance is what DT Sports does best!
Let’s explore a little of how our out-of-this-world sponsor designs take shape in practice…

Case Study: DT Sports X Adidas at Anfield, The Emirates & Old Trafford
Working with Adidas in three of the world’s most iconic stadiums - Anfield, The Emirates and Old Trafford - we’ve been delighted to deliver sponsor spaces that deliver exactly this elevated, immersive experience.
Across these projects, our design approach centred on three pillars:
- Brand storytelling that doesn’t overwhelm the club’s identity - Adidas’ presence needed to be unmistakable, with integrated finishes, lighting and palette tied to their brand cues, but also grounded in place, with subtle nods to the club and its heritage woven into each unique space.
- Hospitality spaces that are experiential and functional in equal measure - each suite working for everything from VIP hosting, brand activations to media and influencers, as well as being a commercial asset on non-matchdays.
- Spaces that reinforce partnership prestige - we made sure that, when a guest walks into any of these suites, the brand-club relationship feels exclusive and well-considered, because this kind of emotional and reputational lift isn’t just part of the sponsor return, it’s also leverage for the club in future negotiations.

In our second project for premium experience platform Seat Unique (see our VIP Lounge at the Co-Op Stadium here), the brand’s hospitality space at Old Trafford reflects another dimension of sponsorship design - an intimate, VIP dining space crafted to offer exceptional hospitality for corporate guests.
Every detail, from the material palette to the spatial layout, supports a smooth hosting experience that embodies Seat Unique’s own premium positioning:
- Enhancing the guest journey from arrival to seat - feeling expressly designed for modern premium fans.
- On-brand while staying respectful to the Club’s rich heritage - with subtle design elements that feel both high-end and authentic.
- Balancing comfort with sophistication - think bespoke joinery, tactile finishes and plush fabrics.

The Business Impact of getting your Sponsor Spaces right
Ultimately, thoughtfully designed sponsor environments can be some of the most commercially powerful spaces within a stadium, actively strengthening the value of your partnerships while they’re elevating the matchday experience.
Smart interior design can:
- Boost a sponsor’s presence in a way that feels refined rather than intrusive.
- Increase the perceived value of sponsorship packages for other high-end brands.
- Create memorable brand moments that drive partner loyalty and repeat investment.
- Support activations and events that extend sponsorship impact beyond matchdays.
- Enable new partnership tiers by elevating the quality and flexibility of available spaces.
And we’ve talked a lot about sponsor value, but the return for clubs is clear too.
The better these spaces perform for your partners, the easier it becomes to retain high-value sponsorships, attract other global brands looking for exceptional matchday experiences, demonstrate tangible ROI on existing deals and unlock additional revenues for the club too through non-matchday use.
So if your Club’s sponsor spaces aren’t quite earning their keep? It might be time for a rethink.
