Ask anyone in Leeds and they’ll tell you that North Bar is one of the city’s best-loved institutions. A go to venue for craft beer lovers for over 22 years, it bore a few scars and was well overdue a facelift. Problem was, they wanted to continue trading throughout.

Overview

Having seen some serious action, North Bar decided a new bar and cellar were needed. Not only that, the addition of a kitchen, too. We met over a few IPAs and totally got where they were coming from.

The interior space at North Bar is really interesting. Long and narrow, the 1,000 square feet needed to work hard to balance the flow of customers ordering at the bar and how to accommodate them when drinking.
